Students come to The LEAD Center through a referral from their local school division as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP). We understand you are eager to secure the right placement, and we want to help you take the most direct path.
The Mandated Process
Enrollment at LEAD is a formal, mandated process that must be arranged through your local school division. We are unable to accept direct parent placements or private pay enrollments.

Enrollment must be arranged through your school division because this ensures all necessary funding, legal requirements, and placement documentation are officially secured for your child.
Your Essential First Step
If your child’s IEP team has determined that a private day school is the best fit, your next action is to empower your team to start the process:
- Talk to Your Team: Connect with your child’s current school, case manager, or IEP team.
- Request a Referral: Inform them that you want The LEAD Center to be considered as a placement option.
- Ensure File Submission: The school division must formally submit your child’s complete file (IEP, evaluations, discipline records) to our team for review.
